homeschool scholarships for college
Homeschool contests & other scholarships
We spend a lot of time searching for those seemingly elusive homeschool scholarships for college. In the process, we sometimes come across other opportunities for homeschooled high school students that don’t fit into our scholarship category, but that we think the high school homeschool community would appreciate knowing about. So today, we have created a new page simply titled “Etc.” This is where we’ll list contests for homeschooled students, scholarship opportunities that aren’t necessarily for college, and anything else we think you would be interested in. We’re beginning with two listings: one for a research paper contest for homeschoolers and one for special needs scholarships for homeschoolers. To access these new listings, visit our new Etc page.
New today–Regional Homeschool Scholarship
Today’s addition to our List of Homeschool Scholarships page is a regional one for homeschooled high school seniors living in California’s Kern County. The Home Educators Resource Center (HERC) Legacy Scholarship does not require membership in the HERC. Applications are judged equally according to 1) A 300-500 word essay 2) Resume of Christian Service 3) Academic Preparedness (transcript and SAT/ACT scores). Award amount is $1,000. For contact information, visit our List of Homeschool Scholarships page.
If you know of local or regional scholarships in your area, email us and we’ll post them. For this category, we’re dependent on you to let us know how homeschoolers in your region are being helped.
